MAC Temperature Rising Quad

I wasn't overly excited about this quad when I first saw it online- thought they were just some ho-hum colors that didn't do much for me.  I actually wanted the other quad only (Bare My Soul) because of that gorgeous green duochrome in it, but ended up snagging both when I saw them in person.  Something about the way the colors work together really drew me in.

Gold and Warm Brown

Hello!!

It has been so damn hot here in NY... i'm so not a fan- heat and humidity are not for me.  Here is a look I threw together this morning using some Fyrinnae and Coastal Scents Hot Pots.  I absolutely love the hot pots- I bought almost all of the matte neutrals they carry and find them so useful for blending out and defining the yes.  I love to use them paired with a shimmery pigment or shadow on the lid.

I used:
Face
L'oreal Magic Lumi in W 1-2 mixed with Revlon Colorstay Whipped #200
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder translucent, dusted lightly on T Zone
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
NYX Taupe Blush as contour
BareMinerals San Francisco Blush
MAC Soft and Gentle MSF as cheek bone highlight
Maybelline Color Whisper Pin Up Peach  on lips

Eyes
MAC Painterly PP as primer
Coastal Scents HP Oatmeal Tan as contour/transition color in crease
Coastal Scents HP Harvest Brown in crease to deepen, and to smoke out lower lashline
Coastal Scents HP Deep Roast in outer V, and to deepen lower lashline
Fyrinnae Mischievous Sidhe patted all over lid
WnW Walking on eggshells trio lightest shade, patted on tear duct area
Ben Nye Toast as browbone highlight
Physician's Formula Liquid Liner

Thanks for looking!

Fyrinnae Meerkat

Meerkat is a lovely pinky purple with GORGEOUS gold shimmer and glitter.  It transfers just as lovely to the lid as it appears in the pot.  Meerkat is all that I had hoped MAC's Trax would be from how lovely it appears in the pan- though Trax disappoints while Meerkat delivers all the purply gold glittery goodness your heart could desire.  LOVE!!!!

I promise to deliver a non purple look next time ;)

Face
Maybelline Fit Me foundation, applied with a flat top synthetic buffer brush
MAC ProLongwear Concealer NW 15, under eyes
NYX Taupe blush to contour, NYX Terracotta blush on cheeks
MAC Empahsize Powder on cheek bines and to set under eye concealer
Maybelline Color Whisper lipstick in Lust for Blush

Eyes
MAC Paintery PP to prime lids
Scotch Tape for sharp edges
WnW Lust Palette Darkest Matte purple to outer edges of eyes and along lower lashline, midtone purple to blend out edges- lightest cream shade on inner corners  and browbone
LA Splash glitter adhesive patted on lid
Fyrinnae Meerkat patted atop the glitter adhesive
Physician's formula Lash Boosting Serum Liquid liner on upper lashline

Wet n' Wild Lust Palette Smoky Plum Eyes

The WnW Lust palette has long been a favorite of mine.  It has some amazingly pigmented mattes that have become staples for me in my makeup routine.  See post here for pics.  The midtone matte purple, is a perfect dupe for MAC's fig.1 shadow.  The deeper matte purple works in place of MAC's Shadowy Lady.  The light cream with sparkles is an AMAZING highlight shade, which I won't even compare to MAC Vanilla as it blows it away.  I've done numerous looks with the matte purples in the crease, but have never used them as all over lid colors because i tend to go for shimmer on the lid, matte in the crease.  Today's look uses the matte shades only, and I tossed a shimmery Aromaleigh shadow to brighten up the tear ducts.  This look made my green eyes super green.

Eyes
MAC Painterly PP all over eye space as primer
(Scotch tape for crisp edges)
WnW Lust Palette - Midtone matte purple patted all over center of lid, blended just into the ouetr edge of eye leaving inner 1/3 of lid clear
Dark matte purple on outer corners of eyes blended into mid tone purple
Matte cream with sparkles on inner 1/3 blended into mid tone purple, and on brow bone
ELF Palette matte-ish raspberry shade, with fluffy brush to blend out edges of other colors in crease
Aromaleigh Lavande on top of other shadow n inner 1/3 of lid (palest shimmery lavender)
All colors repeated on lower lashline
Physician's Formula Lash Boosting Serum liquid liner on upper lashline

Cheeks NYX Terracotta blush
Lips Maybelline Pink Please

How crazy green do my eyes look here?
